Regarding the format of the exam, below are the details: Reading and Use of English: takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes, consists of 7 parts (53 questions) and is worth around 25% of the final grade.
It has this name because, in addition to evaluating the candidate's reading and interpretation, it deals with the English language in a structural way and with vocabulary in general. First part ( multiple choice cloze ): consists of a medium text with eight numbered spaces ( cloze ) and with four options to complete each of the gaps; Second part ( open cloze )involves a medium text with eight numbered gaps that must be filled in according to the context and the expressions found in it; Third part (word formation) candidates read a text with spaces to be filled. Next to each line with space, the root of a word is found. The objective is to modify the roots so that they fit the text semantically; Fourth part (transformation with keywords) : each of the exercises in this part contains two sentences: the first is complete, the second is incomplete.
